Welcome - Practices start Tuesday!

Happy October and welcome to the 2023-2024 Jersey Gator Swim Team Season! We hope you’ve all enjoyed your start to the school year and we are very excited to get our swim season underway! Practices will start this TUESDAY! Please refer to the WEBSITE for each group’s practice schedule. 

FIRST WEEK OF PRACTICE
Please have your swimmer at practice a little early this week. We will have someone checking swimmers in to verify they have their USA Swimming registration complete as well as the Y membership (must show Membership ID). Both these registrations need to be complete before attending any team practices or meets. 

• Locker rooms and bathrooms are not available at this time. Please have your swimmer in their bathing suit when they arrive at the pool. A portable bathroom is available if needed. 
• Please keep your swimmer home if they are not feeling well.
• No need to notify the coaches or Parent Association if your swimmer will miss a few days of practice. If your swimmer will be out for more than a week, let us know. 
• Parents are not allowed inside the pool area or deck during practice. 
• Don’t forget goggles, swim caps, towels and flippers (Flippers for Junior and Senior Groups).

PARKING
The parking lots at the facility are very busy during the Fall and Spring due to other sporting events. If you need to usher your swimmer to and from the pool, please park in a legal spot and walk your child safely to the pool. Do NOT park in any Handicap spaces or block the entrances to and from the parking lots.

PERSONALIZED SWIM CAPS
The Personalized Swim Cap order deadline has been extended to October 15th. Please fill out the ORDER FORM and include it, along with a check or cash, in a clearly marked envelope in Coach Lou’s folder. 

SPIRIT WEAR RAFFLE
We will be extending the Spirit wear raffle until next Sunday, October 8th. Purchase a ticket for $5 (cash only) for a chance to win a sweatshirt, various t-shirts, a towel and much more. Please see one of the Board Members this week during practice drop off and pick up to purchase tickets.  

METRO SWIM SHOP
The Metro Swim Shop will be at the pool on Sunday, October 8th from 7:30 AM - 9:00 AM. Please stop by to purchase this season’s team suit and to get your new swimmer fitted. The shop will also have other swim accessories for sale during this time. 

MB CURE CANCER INVITATIONAL
Our entries have been accepted into the meet which is scheduled for October 14th. We will send out pre-meet information and lane assignments as soon as we receive them.
