Pre-Meet Info for 2024 12 & Under Silver/Bronze Champs 

Date: Saturday and Sunday, February 24th and 25th

Location:  Newark Academy 91 South Orange Avenue, Livingston, NJ, United States

This is a massive meet with lots of information to review before attending. Please be sure to read everything below. 

*Please review the Invitational Entries list on our website to confirm what events and session(s) your swimmer is attending. This is the parent/swimmer responsibility, not the coaches. 

Scratches: If your swimmer needs to scratch, please do so 30 minutes before swimmer check-in times. If swimmers are not checked-in with coaches by the times listed per session, they will be scratched from the meet. Running Late: If you are running a little late, please notify someone so your swimmer does not get scratched. The deadlines to check in with the coaches are FIRM. 

SPACE IS VERY LIMITED! Please limit the amount of spectators you bring with you. 

***Parents need to stay in the gym to help supervise and make sure swimmers are lined up when events are called. Coaches will be on deck and it's not their job to supervise the swimmers while waiting for events. We have not been informed of marshaling so we assume there is none. The host team will most likely call out event numbers to get the kids lined up, but they will NOT seek out swimmers. If you/your swimmer doesn’t pay attention, they will miss their event. Parents can take turns watching events from the balcony of the pool. This will also help limit overcrowding in the spectator area. 

We are assigned timing for all 4 sessions. ALL parents will be considered back-up volunteers, so come prepared to help if needed. If you see your swimmer’s last name below, you are responsible for timing. We are timing with one timer from the host team, however, we ARE splitting our timing assignments. Please switch at the designated event number listed under each session.

Know your event # and stroke BEFORE you arrive
Extra towel(s)
Blankets to sit on
Warm clothing 
Sharpies
Snacks - they usually sell snacks as well
Activities for the kids to do between events (games, cards, drawing, etc)
Follow all host team and facility rules 
A positive attitude! We expect both swimmers AND parents to be supportive of all teammates and competitors.
